Itinerary

Day 2: Transfer to Thimphu and on the way sightseeing and overnight stay in Thimphu.

- • After a breakfast, checkout from the hotel.

- • Proceed towards Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha day excursion, Stay in Thimphu.
- • After breakfast drive to Punakha.
- • Visit Dochula-Pass: (3150 mts.) a beautiful mountain pass, which is a concentration of 108 memorial stupas.
- • Punakha Dzong - is the second oldest dzong in Bhutan. Until the mid-1950s it served as the capital and seat of government.
- • Punakha Suspension Bridge: It is one of the longest and oldest suspension bridges in Bhutan.
- • After the Punakha tour come back to Thimphu.
- • Dinner and overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing, Stay in Paro.
- • After breakfast proceed for Thimphu local sightseeing.
- • Visit Buddha Dordenma Statue: a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang,
- • The National Memorial Chorten Stupas: The chorten or stupa was built in the memory of the third king.
- • Tashi Chho Dzong (View)
- • Takin Zoo: the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here.
- • Changangkha Lhakhang: Oldest surviving temple in Thimphu
- • Simply Bhutan Museum: You get to experience the traditions and household rituals of Bhutan in this museum.
- • Transfer to Paro, Check In to Hotel, Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Trekking to Tiger’s Nest and overnight stay in Paro
(Total Distance 6.4 kms | Time: 3-5 hrs | Altitude: 10,245 ft Elevation: 900 mtr)
- • After breakfast, proceed to Tiger’s Nest.
- • Hiking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery. which clings to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor.
- • Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location on the back of a tiger in the 8th century.
- • Guru Rinpoche introduced Buddhism to their country, and the Taktsang Monastery is one of the principal pilgrimage destinations in Bhutan.
- • After hike you can enjoy Hot Stone Bath at countryside.
- • Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6: Paro to Chele-La-Pass day excursion, Stay in Jaigaon
(Distance: 148 kms | Driving Time: 4.5 hr)
- • After breakfast proceed towards Chele La Pass.
- • Chele La Pass is located at an altitude of 13,000 feet and it is the highest motorable road pass in Bhutan.
- • The pass is famous for the stunning Himalayan views it offers, especially Mt. Jomolhari which is Bhutan’s most sacred peak at 22,000 feet.
- • Chele La Pass is also a hot spot for flora & fauna.
- • Afternoon drive to Phuentsholing with stopovers and enjoying the scenic beauty.
- • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 7: Transfer from Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Airport.

Q: We’re a couple, do we need to share a room?
Ans: You can opt for double sharing then you will get a private room on double sharing only. No Sharing with any other traveller.
Q: I’m travelling Solo, how will I be accommodated?
Ans: For Solo travellers, Room sharing will be with another same-gender solo traveller on double/triple sharing. If the number of solo travellers is odd i.e. 3,5,7 then the room will be on triple sharing.
Q: What currency is used in Bhutan?
Ans: Indian currency Rupee is widely accepted in Bhutan. Bhutan’s national currency is Ngultrum. There is no need to exchange Indian Rupees for Bhutanese Ngultrum.
Q: Are ATMs available in Bhutan?
Ans: We suggest you do not rely on the ATM at Phuentsholing please carry sufficient cash.
Q: What Identity proofs are valid for travelling in Bhutan?
Ans: You can present a Voter card or passport to get a permit.
Aadhaar Card is not valid in Bhutan.
Q: Is Bhutan safe for solo travelling?
Ans: Yes, Bhutan is one of the safest places to visit for Solo travellers. However, travelling solo could cost a little high due to less bus connectivity and for some of the places, no shared taxi are available. It is always a better idea to travel in a group to reduce the cost of travelling and accommodation.
